Honeymoons in the Pacific Islands
Honeymoons in Hawaii
A collection of tropical islands surrounded by the deep blue Pacific sea, Hawaii is a beautiful honeymoon choice. The four main islands are Maui, Big Island, Kauai and Oahu - each one home to an ethnically diverse population, unified through a strong Hawaiian culture.
Oahu Island is where you will find Honolulu, the capital, and the lively city of Waikiki. Countless lovely beaches fringe the island, the best known of which is Sunset Beach. All manner of water sports can be enjoyed off the coast of Oahu, including surfing, snorkeling and diving. Head inland to discover dramatic mountains and valleys, plus countless fields of pineapples.
The second largest Hawaiian island is Maui. Uniquely, it is composed of two huge volcanoes, divided by a valley. The landscape of the island features cattle ranches, lush rain forests and eucalyptus groves. Maui's beaches are renowned for their beauty, and you can discover the accompanying underwater scenery through snorkeling.
Kauai is called the Garden Island for its lush vegetation. The volcano at its center, Mount Waialeale, is believed to be the wettest place on earth. The coastal cliffs offer superb views and the beaches are, as you would expect in Hawaii, idyllic.
Big Island, also called Hawai'i, encompasses a great amount of geographic diversity. This includes several active volcanoes, a National Park and the world's largest cattle ranch.
Flowers are everywhere in Hawaii, scenting the air with their beautiful fragrance and often woven into distinctive garlands known as leis. Hawaiian cuisine is infused with numerous influences and features a huge array of fresh fruits and vegetables. There is so much to discover in Hawaii, and a romantic honeymoon is the ideal way to experience these beautiful islands.
