Honeymoons in Japan
Your honeymoon in Japan will be full of surprises and cultural discoveries. The country offers superb cuisine, fascinating architecture and many natural and historical highlights.
The bustling capital, Tokyo, is simply alive with energy. It has countless monuments and a plethora of unusual buildings created by innovative architects. Some of these creations are minimalist, others are highly detailed, but they all have an unmistakably Japanese style. Tokyo also offers superb shopping in chic arcades, and many galleries and museums where you will be able to admire some distinctive Japanese art. You can choose between sake - rice wine - and traditional green tea to accompany your meal in one of the city's many restaurants.
Perfectly symmetrical Mount Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan and attracts visitors from far and wide. The summit offers spectacularly romantic vistas, particularly as dawn breaks. On the northern side of the mountain, the Five Fuji Lakes area includes ice caves, water sports facilities and amusement parks.
Kyoto was the imperial capital of Japan, and is still the cultural center of the country, home to hundreds of festivals every year. Countless temples and precisely designed gardens are scattered across the city. Nearby is the famous Himeji-Jo Castle, the most magnificent Japanese castle still standing, and perfect for a day trip.
Daisetsuzan National Park is ideal if you want to immerse yourselves in the beauty of nature on your Japanese honeymoon. It includes lakes, forests, volcanoes, several mountain groups, gorges, hot springs and remote mountain villages. The park is ideal for skiing and hiking. Cycling, diving and golf are also popular sporting pursuits in Japan.
Japan is a unique and distinctive country, an excellent choice for your honeymoon.
